Proceeds from the Glacier Ridge Trail Ultramarathons & Trail Race will benefit the Moraine Preservation Fund (MPF) and the Moraine McConnell’s Mills Jennings Commission (3MJC).
The MPF and 3MJC are non-profit, volunteer organizations that conduct maintenance, park improvement, and environmental education programs within Moraine State Park, McConnell’s Mills State Park, and the Jennings Environmental Education Center.
The MPF has helped to develop important wildlife restoration projects like Project BATitat, the Osprey and Barn Owl Reintroduction Programs, along with the creation of a Native Plant & Butterfly Trail near the start/finish line at the McDanel’s boat launch.
The MPF also operates the Owlet Gift Shop and Nature Center at the McDanel’s boat launch.
3MJC is a community non-profit organization providing support for Moraine and McConnell’s Mill State Parks and for the Jennings Environmental Education Center. Members are involved in a variety of projects including advocacy for the parks, preservation of park resources and native plant and animal management projects. 3MJC also raises funds for use on park projects and activities.
